Senior Advisors:
Val Blanchette has twenty-five years experience working with and investing in emerging medical technology companies. For three years she worked with Senetek PLC, funding biomedical research in Europe, and transferring the results of that research to the US branch of the company for product development and marketing. She was part of the management team for Health Advantage Ventures Fund 1, and sole manager for Health Advantage Ventures Fund 11, health care venture capital funds owned by a group of hospitals. Ms. Blanchette has consulted to Fortune 500 companies, early stage companies and health care institutions.

Lesley Bremner Bell has extensive experience in Web based health care companies. Most recently she was Director of the Product Management Group for WebMD responsible for WebMD's distribution, e-commerce and payer partnerships, including Microsoft, Excite, Lycos, CVS/Pharmacy and Humana.

Karen Deyerle has nine years of technology transfer experience in addition to 14 years of experience as a research scientist at the University of Washington, Seattle. She has excellent skills in contract drafting and negotiation; technology and market analysis; marketing; patentability assessment; direction of patent prosecution; project management; personnel training and supervision. Karen holds a Ph.D in biology from the University of California-San Diego and a B.A. in biology from Wells College, , New York

Chris Jansen, Ph.D.
Dr. Jansen has thirty years of high technology experience in industry as well as experience in technology transfer. She held senior positions in manufacturing operations with Digital Equipment Corp. and Millipore Corp. managing up to 250 people. Since 1987 she has served as a senior technology transfer professional with MIT and more recently as Director at University of Utah. She currently serves on committees for Association Of University Technology Managers and previously served as a member Board of Directors of MIT and as a Member, National Academy of Sciences Committee on Women. She received her Ph.D. in materials science at MIT.

Dr. Newell received her Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and her MBA at the Kenan-Flagler School, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She did postdoctoral work at University of Wisconsin.

Scientific Advisor:
Linda Hansen has worked as a research scientist in two biomedical companies, and has published extensively in her field. Dr. Hansen earned her Doctorate in Molecular Pharmacology from Stanford University. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Oregon Institute of Neuroscience, and worked for the Office of Technology Transfer at the University.
